The naming transformation of the Xeon processor lineup based
on the naming scheme of metal compounds appears to have recently been
beautifully reflected by the latest duo PC models of Lenovo's flagship
workstation PCs namely ThinkStation P920 and P720. Both PC workstation models
are equally handed a taste of dual processor Intel Xeon Platinum, Gold, Silver,
or Bronze that can be tailored to the needs of its users.
Speaking more specifically about Lenovo ThinkStation P920,
this one model is arguably the most powerful PC workstation model compared to
ThinkStation P720. Having pre-loaded OS Windows 10 Pro support and its
certified engine for Redhat Linux operation is expected to meet the platform
standards desired by its fans. In addition, users also do not have to worry
about the heavy workload of super heavy graphics that exist given that all can
be handled better just by using this latest PC workstation made by Lenovo.
Thanks to the support for up to three GPUs or NVIDIA Quadro
GP100 or P6000 diusungnya, making Lenovo ThinkStation P920 reportedly capable
of handling various preparations and even heavy 3D graphics display. And even
to match the reliable engine in it, Lenovo has also equipped it with up to 2TB
DDR4 memory, which comes from 16 DIMM 2666MHz RAM slots that support RDIMM and
LRDIMM.
The fully supplied power supply voltage of the PSU 1400W
makes system efficiency up to 92%. While the chassis has enough space to
accommodate up to 12 existing internal drives, including up to two M.2 drives,
six 3.5 "drives or ten 2.5" drives, all of which can be configured on
RAID 0,1,5, 6, or 10.
Not only that, the use of Intel C621 chipset based
motherboards allows users to place up to four USB 3.1 ports on the front and four
on the back along with a pair of USB 2.0 ports, serial ports, parallel ports,
PS / 2 ports, Ethernet, line in, line out, mic in, eSATA, a firewire port,
integrated WiFi, memory card reader, and integrated optical drive.
Although scheduled to be available in October, but
unfortunately there is no price details Lenovo ThinkStation P920 so far.
